Production process

Technology for the production of polyethylene pipes

All PE products are manufactured using a single extrusion technology

The essence of polyethylene pipe production is as follows:

Extrusion and molding

The raw material in the form of plastic pellets is fed into the extruder, where it is heated and melted under high temperature. The molten homogeneous mass then enters the extruder head, which has a specific configuration. This is where the product is molded under high pressure.

Calibration and cooling

At the next stage of production, the polyethylene pipe is transferred to a vacuum calibrator to form the required diameter and wall thickness, i.e. to find the required diameter. From here, the product comes out hot, so it is redirected to several special water baths for cooling. Passing through them, the material gradually cools down and releases residual stress.

Cutting and labeling

The next stages are sawing (cutting), coiling and labeling of products in accordance with the standard. The last stage of production is when the finished polyethylene pipes are delivered to the warehouse. All manufacturing processes are automated as much as possible. The operator only controls the operation of the equipment.

Advantages of polyethylene pipes

  • Low weight for easy transportation, storage and installation;
  • Absolute resistance to all types of corrosion;
  • Elasticity and flexibility – the ability to expand without deformation, so that pipes can be laid without restrictions, even in unstable soils;
  • Easy installation that does not require the use of complex equipment;
  • Frost resistance – suitable for installation in all climatic zones;
  • Durability – the service life guaranteed by the manufacturer is 50-100 years;
  • Smooth walls for maximum throughput;
  • Sound insulation – communications made of polyethylene pipes are noiseless;
  • Cost-effectiveness – cheaper than cast iron and steel counterparts.
