New production lines for the manufacture of thermally insulated polyurethane foam pipes

The company installed new modern equipment and launched the production of pre-insulated polyurethane foam pipes.

UKRTRUBOIZOL actively cooperates with heat energy suppliers and distributors.

A factory-made one-piece structure consisting of an inner pipe, an outer pipe-shell (polyethylene or galvanized) and polyurethane foam filling the space between them.

After thermal insulation with polyurethane foam, the service life of the pipeline increases to 30 years or more. Heat loss is reduced several times. A layer of polyurethane foam protects against external factors, temperature changes and mechanical stress on the pipes.

  • Diameter range – from 32/90 to 1020/1200 mm
  • Thermal conductivity λ50 = 0.027 W/mK;
  • The maximum working pressure is no more than 1.6 MPa;
  • Thermal insulation: polyurethane foam foamed with cyclopentane;
  • Waterproofing shell – polyethylene
  • Coolant temperature: 140°C (150°C)
Pre-insulated polyurethane foam pipe in galvanized SPIRO sheath
  • DSTU B V.2.5-31:2007 PIPELINES PRE-INSULATED WITH POLYURETHANE FOAM FOR HOT WATER SUPPLY AND HEATING NETWORKS
  • Diameter range – from 32/90 to 1020/1200 mm
  • Thermal conductivity λ50 = 0.027 W/mK;
  • The SPIRO sheath is a thin-walled, non-corrosive sheet metal (above-ground installation);
  • The maximum working pressure is no more than 1.6 MPa;
  • Thermal insulation: polyurethane foam foamed with cyclopentane;
  • Coolant temperature: 140°C (150°C)

Advantages of polyurethane foam pipes

  • Reduction of heat consumption during transportation to 1.5-2.5%;
  • The service life of the heating main is 30-40 years;
  • Reduced capital expenditures by 15-20%;
  • Reduced operating costs by 9 times;
  • Reduced repair costs by 3 times.
